In 2021, KM Music Conservatory partnered with Trinity Laban International Academies to host the Art Song Festival 2021 online. Due to pandemic restrictions in India, last year we went virtual to share a love of art song
Our Story
Last year we welcomed guest experts Patricia Rozario OBE (Professor of Voice at Trinity Laban and the Royal College of Music), Jennifer Hamilton (Head of Vocal Studies, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance), Karl Lutchmayer (international concert pianist and music educator), Christopher Caine (Professor of Music and Composition, Trinity Laban) and Dr James Bunch (Lecturer in Composition, KM Music Conservatory), who worked live with our participants on the performance and composition of art song.
The Festival included a singing competition, and a series of online vocal and composition masterclasses with the competition judges. We are committed to making our festival accessible to everyone, so participation is free, and all of last year's festival events are available to watch free online via the KM Music Conservatory Youtube channel and Facebook Page.
